Imperfect Tone
I was born a song,
an imperfect tone.
When I find a note,
I can be reborn.
In my sound -
I am still here,
I am still whole.

Sing to Heal
Do we remember that healing lies within every cell of our body? Within every note we sing? As humans, we have always used our voices to mourn, celebrate, pray and remember.
But have we forgotten that healing begins within us?
Within a note we have silenced or forgotten to sing?
Singing is about presence.
We. Are. Here.
And we feel it all.
But how do we cope?
If you have a voice, you have a chance.
A chance at balancing your energy, to align your body with the beauty of this universe.
Our voice is a vibrational miracle. It shifts our state of being from ache and anxiety to peace.
It aligns our chakra and lifts our vibration higher.
It guides us, humbly, toward the divine.
Every note has an effect on our bodies and souls.
Sing lower notes, and notice your heart rate slow down, your muscles soften, and a sense of peace wrap around you like colour. Many meditation practices use lower tones to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, through chanting and humming; invoking harmony, mindfulness, spiritual healing, and inner balance.
Sing higher notes, and feel energy flood your body.
A rush of joy, a burst of liberation, like opening your chest to the sky.
Think of Chandelier by Sia or The Power of Love by Celine Dion. Songs that make you feel unstoppable.
I found singing to be a powerful therapy for emotional balance and inner light. Now, if a day passes without a hum or melody, I feel the shift. That quiet return to imbalance, to sadness.
We are all human after all.
So sing..
Whether it’s a full blown karaoke session, your own songwriting, a chant, a hymn, or just a little hum on the way to work.
Every sound helps.
Start somewhere. Begin the recalibration. We are like mechanical watches; drifting daily, affected by earth’s rotation.
“Every perfect clock must adjust for nature”
When we open our diaphragm and sing, our heart opens too. Releasing built-up emotion; love, sadness, anger, joy.
It’s a rush of elation; one that can lift you from the depths of depression, anxiety, and heaviness. It can make you smile, cry, or anything in between.
Sing in groups.
Sync with other heartbeats. Let oxytocin rise. Enter collective harmony. Let your higher self connect with the universe around you.
Science backs it all up. Singing improves posture, lung capacity, immunity, memory. It supports hormonal balance through dopamine and endorphins. So leave the “red flags” and just sing.
Trust yourself when a song enters your thoughts. Your body knows. Your brain is part of your body. Let the note come out. Let your body follow. Sing like a rock star on the bus. Why not?
You might even spark a wave. Imagine an entire bus starting the day with a smile instead of a frown.
Can you feel people’s energy as soon as they enter a space?
Can you see the waves around them?
Balance or imbalance, nerves or calm, arrogance or fear?
Presence or absence of balance isn’t about mood. It is about extremes. True peace sits in the centre.
Zero is a beautiful number. A concept of balance. A midpoint between positive and negative. When we reach zero, peace takes over. Black and white meet in quiet harmony.
So sing.
To your heart’s content.
Nobody cares if you’re “on key”.
The point is this:
You can hear your lips curve into a smile as you slip into the trance of joy.
Sing to the birds.
They’ll join you in the forest. Nature understands. She holds the most complex melodies; frogs, nightingales, insects, wolves howling… even the earth hums with vibration.
Sing to heal.
